I’m aware of the fact the writers wanted to emphasize the discrimination towards 828ers through that decision but it felt out of character and honestly made no sense to me. Mick still went to the police station over and over again to talk to Eagan and Adrian and went with Drea to the base of the anti-Ben gang to arrest them, so I really don’t get what’s the point of this choice.
She needs her abilities and authorities as a part of the NYPD to fulfill callings and to help passengers. Also, his background with the coach definitely doesn’t explain why did he turn into a basically killer on the haunt.Ībout Mick’s quitting, I know that the new policy about 828ers was the main reason for that, and mostly an execution of an 828er, but her decision doesn’t make any sense. With that being said, his role in this season was messy for me, and instead of being a bit rational, it feels like his character was forced to being independently bad by the writers. They did explain some of his acts, and they made obviously clear the fact that before everything, he wanted to survive his death-date. Jace did have a calling but as the season progressed, he turned on Mick for some reason and left Cal alone after he was so obsessed with him, and then after the fight with him and Mick on the cliff the cal’s obsession suddenly returns.
